Our annual Christmas celebration this year is tobogganing! MONDAY 17th December. Meet at the snozone at 6.15pm. PLEASE ensure your Beaver, Cub or Scout is dressed appropriately - waterproof warm clothes as well as hats, scarves and gloves. The best footwear would be well fitting boots. Following a briefing we will be on the snow between 7.00 and 8.00pm. Please collect your Beaver, Cub or Scout at 8pm. This is a subsidised event and so the cost is a very reasonable £5 per child! See you there!

Thank you St Mary's!
We had had the most wonderful evening at St Mary's. Janet, Steve and John welcomed us and showed all interesting things about the church. John then showed us the bells and we all had a go...
Thank you so much to everyone at St. Mary's. We really learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves.

S'mores anyone?
We had great fun tonight toasting marshmallows and squeezing them between chocolate biscuits... S'mores! No-one toasted fingers and they all left with smiles, so a success I think.

Badges
For the scouts who are always asking why there are some people who get loads of badges all of the time and why they don't get any badges at all; the answer is to do them in your own time.
It can be as simple as getting someone to sign a piece of paper to say that you do a certain club, play for a sorts team or play an instrument. Some badges will take longer and be more difficult than other's depending on what you want to do.
Press the link and you can see the list of badges that you can get and how to achieve them and you'll soon be getting loads of badges!

Fire station magic!
The Beavers scouts were lucky enough to visit the Great Holm fire station last night. We had a fantastic time being shown round the station and fire engines as well as being taught some fire safety.
Thank you so much to blue watch, you were great and we learnt a lot.

Cubs - Thursday 19 July
The weather forecast is for rain on Thursday night. After a wet Archery evening, a muddy camp, and knowing there is no shelter at the Concrete Cows I have decided that we will meet in the Hall as usual this week. Please ask your parents to collect you at 7.45pm from the Main Hall as we will join in with Beavers for an end of year celebration. Please tell your friends that the meeting will NOT be at the Concrete Cows! Thank you!
