The shed.. Our own little disaster

Our scout shed is unfortunately no more.. The wet and windy on Saturday night got it!

I know it probably came flat packed but it again in that state. I just wanted to say thank you to the school caretaker who called us and to Carl (scout leader/ Group Scout leader), Neil (part of our quartermaster team) and Pete (chair) who rolled up and moved the equipment and made the shed safe.. Well in a pile. This makes our fund raising even more important as we ascertain what can be claimed for on insurance. Please remember to get lots of sponsors for our bunting attempt to help the parks trust world record over the jubilee weekend.

St George's day church parade

Thank you to all those who attended on a very wet and windy day at St Mary's Shenley Church End. It was wonderful to be welcomed so warmly again.

Rev Mike Morris did us a lovely service all about courage, courage to stand up and say no when we don't agree with something, courage to say that's not nice in the playground and courage to say how wonderful it is to be a scout when others don't think it's cool!

The cubs and scouts read the prays and took part in drama.. Leaders too!

We took biscuits that the Beaver scouts made on Thursday and some extra lemon drizzle cake.. It was well received and delicious.
