Cubs complete their Cyclist Badge!

Huge congratulations to all of the Cubs who came and completed their Cyclist Badge last week. We had a great fun and were able to thank the wonderful Chris Pyke who showed us all sorts of things from how to ride our bikes properly to how to fix punctures! I am very proud of them all!

Gilwell WAS a Fun Day!

Just a quick post to say that we all had amazing fun at the recent Fun day at the home of scouting, Gilwell. A huge thank you to all the young people who came along, to the leaders and helpers - looking forward to next year already!

Beavers Beach Party - Thank you Howe Park

Earlier in the term Howe Park Beavers visited us for a Teddy Bears Picnic and they returned the favour by asking us to go to a beach party!!

We were fantastically welcomed and enjoyed lots of activities.

We like to join other Colonies from time to time to make new friends and let us Leaders gather new ideas.

Archery

This week the Cubs had the opportunity to go to Archery and they had a great time! Each had a go firing their arrows at the target (some even hit it!) and those who weren't doing Archery were kept busy on a nature treasure hunt! Next week we're going shooting! How cool is Cubs?!

A huge thank you to all of the Cubs who made Chocolate Truffles for Comic Relief. We raised about £20 and got very chocolately in the process!

Welcome to Beavers Scouts

Welcome to our new Beavers Scouts who took their promises last Thursday. It was a wonderful finish to this half term after visits to the Recycling factory and the Great Holm Fire Station. We thoroughly enjoyed our Chip Shop Hike and thank you to Reg & Jills Traditional Chip Shop on Shenley Church End for the great chips!
